This quirky collection has been created in collaboration with the National Palace Museum of Taiwan considered by many to be the 'Louvre of the Orient' for the richness and scope of its collection of Antiquities and paintings. The collaboration between Alessi and the Museum grew out of the Museum's wish to open itself to the international scene and encourage greater awareness of Chinese history and culture in the West. Stefano Giovannoni was asked to design a mascot for the new Museum of the 21st Century and from this was born the Chin family.
